What do you guys seriously think of this style of music? I used to like it a lot, then I stopped, but now I'm starting to like it again...tell me what you think...

Kick butt rock n roll! Simple, catchy party anthems with all the hallmarks rock n roll was founded on, just bigger hair and louder guitars!

I'm a hairmetal junkie. I still love it just as much as I did in the 80's. Music was fun then. Sometimes I think that it's not ok for current music to be fun.

like the other guys said, it's fun, but what always catched my eye was the looks! come on Nikki Sixx on Motley Crue, had so many cool clothes, makeup and specially the hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cans and cans of Aquanet hairspray, no wonder the ozone layer has a hole today, it was the 80s hairfashion fault! LOL
i compare the 80s hair metal with the nowadays japanese Visual Kei bands, they have very theatrical (sp?) looks, unfortunately the songs aren't that upbeat.
So i vote for the cool looks :)

It was ALL crap!!!!!!!!!!! I say again ALL crap...a period of time for 99% of all rock (I use this next word veryyyyyy lightly) musicians to be ashamed and the people that bought that music and went to those shows followed what the music industry force fed you like lemmings.

Music was down then, but hair metel wasn't at all as bad as it was made out to be after grunge moved in...
its funny...I posted this on another board, one at vh1.com...and they all took it as a joke...I said it once, Ill say it again, the people here know good music!

Hey Mike! do you watch VH1 too?! that's so cool, it's my fave channel! yesterday there was a Friday Rocks special and everything, i didn't watch because there was Bowie live on bbc.
ANyway, my fave program of VH1 is "So 80's". I LOVE IT!!!

yeah I watch Vh1 all the time...its the only channel that I get that actually shows music I listen to...I get Mtv, Mtv2, Muchmusic, ect. but none are like vh1...
Im on the vh1.com "Greatest Messegeboard"...post there often...

same here, we have MTV nord (that covers scandinavia), ZTV and the only one that i like is VH1. I will check the message board. Do you like it better there or here?
There is a newsgroup for the 80s on google.com but it's full of spam and the conversations are kinda boring. There are also several 80's groups on yahoo but people are never as active and start cool topics like here...

Well Id have to say that I like it better here...for one, everyone here isnt just a teenager who likes good music, but hasn't listened to enough of the other kinds to understand them...See like i said, the people at vh1 actually thought I was joking when I brought up this topic...here, people know good types of music...and know just about every type...

my names mitchell mrcrowly noble and iam here because iam addected to glam metal. lol so many great bands came out of the 80s poison motly crue ozzy orsbourn twissted sister ect i also love the cloths make up vids its just the whole look it drives me crazy just thinking about it talking of hair metal dose any one know of a wepsite that has hair metal vids (asd in promos )you can watch on youre computer .
