Haha...the first 4 or 5 pics under Duran Duran ISNT Duran Duran -- unless I'm missing something! Looks like maybe Spandau Ballet or something.

*sigh* you're right, the first pic, looks like the vocalist of Spandau ballet.
I didn't check duran duran, but anyway, there are loads of great pics of bands such as Siouxsie & the Banshees, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Lords of the New church and so on, so i just wanted to share :)

Unfortunately with Pic number 1 that is indeed a very very young Simon - I have a huge "annual" filled with DD pics from 79 onwards and thats what he looks like. Simon looked totally different when he was really thin - by the time they hit it big in the US he had put weight on - specially in his face.
Pic number 2 - the mike is in the way - I honestly cant tell who its meant to be - it certainly isnt any member of Spandau - I have life size cardboard cutouts of them all in my room !!!!! (ok now I am blushing!!).
The one blowing the trumpet - hmmmmmm I am drawing a blank - it looks like similar to others I have of Si but I dont have any of him blowing a trumpet !!
All the others I checked were definately DD.

Do you have pics of the skinny Simon? I've never seen anywhere online. He looks better the way i have the image in my mind, more muscular, you know that delicious body from the video RIO???? *drooooools*

Ouch, guess I'm not the total Durannie that I thought, huh? I've seen some 70's pics of the band, but that just didn't look like him to me! I know that most of the pictures there ARE Duran, it was just the first 3 or so that I didn't recognize for sure.
No, WAIT...my saving grace will be to say that my eyesight has simply declined a bit over the years, so it has nothing to do with whether or not I'm a 'true' Durannie! Right? Right!! :-*

I'm glad you liked! there are so many artists there, it will take me a week of intensive browsing until I see all the pics :o
btw, i found how to save the pics! there it goes:
Right-click on thumbnail and choose "Properties."
It will pop up a window of general info. Copy the address in "adress (URL)".
fex: the address of the pic i chose was this:
http://www.newwavephotos.com/SkeletalFamily2/thumbnails/19850615_020SkeletalFamily.jpg
if i just paste that in the address bar in another browse window, it will show only a thumbnail.
Then delete the "/thumbnails" so you can see the full size!
doing this, my address became:
http://www.newwavephotos.com/SkeletalFamily2/19850615_020SkeletalFamily.jpg
it's a bit of work, but it's so worth!

hehehe I am sooooooo not a Duranie !! I hated them in High School - tho admit to having had a poster of Simon behind my door where no one could see it !!!
I just seem to have a lot of mags and books and junk from the era tha I have never gotten rid off.
I am in the middle of selling my house etc right now - but when I am all set up in a new place I will gradually go thru everything and work out what can be given away and what cant be sold on ebay etc etc.
