Subject: Galaxy High School

Written By: Bobby on 06/10/03 at 02:58 p.m.

Hi everyone!

Does anybody remember Galaxy High School that was on Saturday mornings (Britain)?

I thought it was one of the coolest cartoons (as well as The Real Ghostbusters) in the world. It involved a space school with alien teachers and students apart from two humans (Aimee and Doyle).

If anybody remembers it, give this site a reply.  :D

Hey Bobby !

Around when would it have been on ? Are we talking early or late eighties here ? If you were born around 78-79, I'm more thinking that it would be sometime around 1984-6, right ? In which case, I'm stumped, though I shouldn't be... sorry.

Hey Bobo!

Thanks for the reply. Galaxy High School in Britain was released around 1989 on Saturday Morning Television. In America I think it started around 1986/1987.

If you can get hold of it on video/DVD (I doubt DVD), I can guarantee it will bring the 80s to your television screen!

Cheers.

Phew... 89... it's a long shot... but it does in fact ring a bell. The things you remember from early childhood!

Blimey! Thanks for that site Screwball54!

One thing that caught my attention was that Nancy Cartwright (future voice of Bart Simpson) was the voice for Flat Freddy and Gilda Gossip - She's gone a long way since then.  :D

Mr Crowley, to say that there was no plot in Galaxy High is an exageration - it was more free-range (tee hee)  ;D

I do agree that the bullies in the show were pretty nasty. Rotten Roland would splat rotten eggs on people's heads and screeched 'I love it, I love it' (I hated it when he said that). And Beef Bonk was quite intimidating as a fiery chicken!
