Yes. I accidentally put this on the wrong boards so I'll continue here.
Everyone has a song that makes them feel good or 'electric' as I call it. I'll restrict this to one song!
The song that gets me going more than most is 'Crazy Crazy nights' by Kiss!

Well, Kim, it appears you've opened up two camps...those who will cheer you and those who will jeer you ;D This has to be one of the most polarized songs in history...you either love it or you hate it ;)
I really like "Stuck With You" and "Doing It All For My Baby" by Huey Lewis & the News. Something about their music just gets me upbeat :)

Love Shack is a quality record that will get anybody dancing regarding the cheesiness (which was intended).
Stuck with you by Huey Lewis and the news gives me a very relaxed feeling - as if everything is alright in the world.

Belinda Carlisle - Leave A Light On, Mad About You, I Plead Insanity, Valentine, hell, most of her catalogue
Bangles - Walking Down Your Street, In Your Room, Be With You, Live, Different Light, listening to the Everything album does something good to me

Rice Cube, I agree with you on Huey Lewis & The News...they do have some fun songs. I remember listening to Stuck With You over and over on my dad's tape when I was little. I still like to listen to it along with Do You Believe In Love, although that one gets stuck in my head for days! They both put me in a good mood. :D
If I had to pick one song that gets me in a good, ready to rock mood I'd say Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me.
For songs that lift my spirits, I made a cd of songs to listen to when I get depressed. Beware - the cheese factor is high ;D

'Special Brew' - Bad manners (great catchy ska tune)
'Here I go again' - Whitesnake (has a punchy bass)
'Baby don't forget my number' (great chorus)
I might add a couple more to the list. 'Stutter rap' by Morris Minor and the Majors (a spoof of The Beastie Boys - 'No sleep 'til bedtime!') and Paul Hardcastle's 'The Wizard' ( I don't think I know anything that get's more 80s than that!)

Hi Rice_Cube, thanks! :D I like all genres of music from the 80s...pop, rock, punk, metal, rap, r&b...it's all so good! It's mostly the pop songs that put me in a happy mood though.
I enjoyed your parodies. My favorites are the political ones. ;D but I also liked "Sanrio" because it's so true..the stuff is expensive yet I buy a lot of their crap and don't really need it! Thanks for the link. :)

I was listening to 'And we danced' by The Hooters only yesterday! Amazing song!
Rick Springfield was a generally excellent singer, 'Jessie's Girl' was brilliant but I've got to add 'Human Touch' to the list as well.
