I think it's by Chicago, but I'm not sure, and I don't know the name. It goes something like "No she can't be that one" "Color Me" "Come and See Me" "I'm the same for I used to be" Something like that.

Does anyone know the name of this song? Thanks.

Your "mystery song" is "Valerie" by Steve Winwood, a minor hit here in the U.S. in the Fall of '82. It was off his 1982 album, Talking Back to the Night. Fortunately, the album is still in print today on CD here in the U.S...

However, in the Fall of '87, he scored a huge hit w/ an extended remix of the song, which may actually be the one you remember. That new version was off his 1987 hits collection, Chronicles. That album is also still in print today on CD here in the U.S...
