Hey folks, I just read this in a synthpop forum, if this is true, OMG!!!!!!! check it out, this is so exciting!!!

---------------------------------------------------------

KRAFTWERK are set to rush-release their new single and album to coincide with the centenary of the TOUR DE FRANCE.

The single, 'Tour De France 03', will be released on July 7, two days after the start of the world famous bike race, and will be available on CD and 12" vinyl.

'Tour De France,' the album, will feature all-new recordings of 'Tour De France 03' alongside brand new compositions and a new version of 1983's 'Tour De France.'

The album is due for release on July 21 and Kraftwerk are currently working on the final mix at their Kling Klang studio in Düsseldorf.

Last time Kraftwerk released an album featuring new compositions, was "Electric Cafe" in 1986.

Since then, Kraftwerk released their own remix album, entitled "The Mix" in 1991, and the single "Expo 2000" in 1999, closely followed by "Expo Remix" in 2000.

"Tour de France" was originally released in 1983, and was planned to be the first single from the album "Techno Pop", who never got released.

Some of the songs featured on "Techno Pop" were later released on "Electric Cafe", but this will be the first time that "Tour de France" actually appears on a full length Kraftwerk album.
