Someone in another thread mentioned a time machine and I was wondering what, if anything, you'd change if you could go back to the 80's for a day?

I think my main thing is that I should have enjoyed my childhood more rather than worry about it.

Since we're going sciene fiction, I'll go crazy and slightly out of this world. If I could go back in time to the 80s for a day, I'd go to either a day in 80 or 81 and get with Adam Ant or around 83 or 84 and try to get with Nick Rhodes. ;)Call me what you will, but its what I would do, and don't say thats stupid cuz lets think about it, have you ever seen a real time machine? 8) I wouldn't change anything about my life cuz I was born in 85, so I didn't really know much until the 90s. Seriously, I think about the time machine idea a lot, not for the reasons I stated up top but because the 80s just are so much better than the 90s or today.

I would go back and force my dad to hang on to the two homes he bought and sold for $30,000 each. Cos last year they both sold for over $340,000 ! Argh - the profit he could have made !

ROFL!!! >My mom always said that Cher baths in formol, that substance used to preserve corpses. IMO, Cher has such a well-preserved body that resembles an embalmed body, just like of a mummy... Oh I guess she is into cryogenics too... gets frozen & defrosted in small periods so she never gets old.
Btw, i always wanted to be frozen before I die, so i can be defrosted and see the future. I heard it's cheaper to freeze only the head, since they expect that in the future,science may be able to reconstruct body parts with excellence... But cryogenics seem to be something not really taken serious at all, in spite that I read that many people did already the procedure in hope that in the future their presently uncurable illness will have a cure so they can get their lives back.

I would go to 1984, to Live Aid. ;D Can you believe it was just one year before I was born? So I guess that would be more of a time-travel than an actual going back for me. I would stay the age I'm now, and just get to see one of the greatest rock concerts ever.

I've got to agree there. Live Aid must have been an absolute experience. I wasn't old enough to appreciate it but I would love to go back and see it happen.

I have a bunch of plans, and they all involve concerts. Guns n' Roses concerts especially. Also, getting myself backstage for a Go-Go's concerts is high on the list.

If I could go back in time, I would like to relive the 80's. Those were the years of my life. I did so much. I absolutely loved my elementary school years ( 82-83 through 88-89 .)

It would have to be '82-'83. My life was absolutely perfect back then. I had the best boyfriend, great friends, and I loved my job. All that, and I was only 19 years old. I often think back to those times, long before real life became part of my everyday. Those sure were the days.
