I wanna be a cowboy
that had to be the lamest song and video of the 80's!
not to mention wild wild west by escape club...
the video for wild wild west was kinda trippy though
don't these lame groups know they are destined to be one hit wonders?
like Baltimora with his Tarzan Boy song
which i kinda liked
he did two covers for that album
one with him jumping up high behind a red background
and another with a copy of the record of Tarzan Boy propped on a chair and him walking away from the record, his sport coat thrown around his shoulder like he was so cool he was beyond his tarzan boy hit
weird...other songs on the album were chinese restaurant, and woody boogie, as in woody woodpecker...lame!!!

Boys Don't Cry sand "I Wanna Be a Cowboy". I agree, that IS a bad song. I HATE it!

I have always thought it was a funny song. Everytime I heard it or saw that guy sitting in the bathtub with that cowboy hat on, I just can't help but laugh. I deffenately wouldn't put it in the top 100 for the best song, but I kind of like it. I still sing it once in a while whenever someone refers to someone as a "cowboy."

I agree, funny vid and lyrics. I almost got into a fight at a redneck country bar one night when I mouthed the lyrics of that song to a buddy of mine as I was making fun of some drunken yahoo who wanted to get into a pi$$ing contest. ::)

I actually kinda like the song "I Wanna Be a Cowboy" for its kitsch value!!! ;D It's one of those songs that you have to sing at the top of your lungs when you're drunk!!! :D

I didn't like this song at all. It was one of those songs that would get stuck in your head and never go away. I hate that.
