I know these videos probably weren't MEANT to be funny at the time, but

-anything with MC Hammer in those silly pants of his
-Arcadia's Election Day (high priced video - where some of the dramatic moments include the passing of a token and one band member bangining a fist on a piece of glass for dramatic impact  :-*)
-Cyndi Lauper - She Bop (especially if you consider what the song was about)
-EBN OZN - AEIOU Sometimes Y (for the attitude)
-anything by Information Society ('cause it's hard to tell if they're having fun or if they're taking themselves too seriously)
-Men w/o Hats' Safety Dance (fun, silly and about nuclear war - but you'd never know it)
-Rick Springfield - Human Touch and Bop Til You Drop (talk about taking the future/space-suit/cryogenic suspension/everything-the-the-future-will-be-made-of-tin-foil concept too far)

And a few that were actually meant to be funny:
-Ray Parker Junior's Ghostbusters.  The cameos were fun and the video was clearly intended to be fun itself....  ;D
-Run DMC and Aerosmith - Walk This Way (who woulda thunk that rock and rap could be so funny)
-Sam Kinison's Wild Thing (what ISN'T he making fun of in this video?)
-Sir Mix A Lot - Baby Got Back (okay - now only the black folks could get away with a song about fat butts and have it be such a big hit!)

The UHF Music Video By "Weird Al" Yankovic, it isn't a parody,
but they parody a lot of music videos in it.

The Clash's cover of Der Komissar is funny only cause of that cute little armadillo ::)

Cars videos.....the real early ones were soooo cheesy ;D

Most early videos were cheesy but some were xtra bad like
Goodbye To You by Scandal and Separate Ways by Journey. All the stuff that looks like it was done at home ::)

See how dumb I am when I first wake up? ::)

That was supposed to be the Clash's Rock The Casbah..d'uh ::)

Be Good Johnny was pretty funny, but sorta cheesy.

Pretty Woman by Van Halen was sorta gross, but still funny!   ;D

'I.O.U' by Freez.

This video featured at the heart of the breakdancing scene and it was so seriously funny. The funniest parts is the self-conscious little child in a blue shirt doing body-popping and the black guy pointing displaying a wierd expression on his face at the end of the video.

I think 'Starmaker' by the kids of Fame was another that showed so much sickly sentimentality, it was just so hilarious!

Me and my mate were absolutely creased up by them.  ;D

I believe you might be thinking of the video for "Rock The Casbah." There was an armadillo in that, and The Clash never covered "Der Kommissar." After The Fire did, though. They did it in English. Badly.

One of the most brilliantly funny clips of the time was the one the Spitting Image puppetteers made for Genesis "and Of Confusion" - its an all time fave for me.

I'm surprised Devo even did videos. Got to love them lampshadey hats, did the fans really wear those in public? :)

If you're talking about what i think you are talking about that song is bloody annoying. Almost as much so as Agadoo (how do you spell that?).

"Voices Carry"--Annie Lennox.

It's funny at the end when she's sitting in a theater audience, and starts to sing out.

Yeah, you're probably thinking of the right one. It's the one that goes:

Hold a chicken in the air
Stick a deckchair up your nose
Buy a jumbo jet
And then bury all your clothes

etc...etc...

I find "Agadoo" more annoying. :D

"Voices Carry" (actually by 'Til Tuesday...Annie Lennox' hair was never that big :D) is a song about domestic abuse and the video reflects that brilliantly with Aimee Mann (the singer) in the role as the victim. The scene of which you speak is at the point where Aimee has had enough of being who her boyfriend wants her to be (a refined debutante or somesuch), and of his abuse that she cracks. She rips of her hat revealing her punkish hairstyle and starts shouting "He said shut up! He said shut up! Oh God can't you keep it down" etc. A very powerful statement I think. She's had enough and wants to take back her own life and be who she wants to be. I found it very moving.

Take it however you wish though. This is just my opinion. :)
