Subject: Flock of Seagulls CD

Written By: Durania on 08/05/03 at 09:28 a.m.

Last week I was in Media Play, and actually found a Seagulls cd!  This cd was called "I Ran", and had "Space Age Love Song", which is my fave song by them.  I also love "(Wishing) I Had a Photograph of You", but it wasn't on it :(   ANYWAY -- I get out to my car, pop it in, and it's all LIVE.  NOWHERE on the packaging did it advertise this fact.  I was very disappointed -- I love Flock of Seagulls, but I'm not very impressed with the live version of my fave song.

Just wanted to warn anyone else who might possibly get duped by this.  Some of ya may like the live versions, I usually do, but not with this particular band.

Sounds like a bootleg to me!! :D A Flock Of Seagulls do not have an album called "I Ran" in their catalogue. Their albums are as follows:

A Flock Of Seagulls (1982)
Listen (1983)
The Story Of A Young Heart (1984)
Dream Come True (1986)
The Light At The End Of The World (1995)

I can understand the confusion though. Sometimes re-released CD's can be renamed to something a little more "popular." I learnt this when I got an M CD which was called Pop Muzik, but originally it was called New York, London, Paris, Munich. I now have the original album with original title, on vinyl. :D

By the way, you can get the Flock Of Seagulls songs you're looking for on one or both of their first two albums. Or, you could always get their "Best Of..." ;D
