I loved the song he did called "Big Log" (I forget the album name).  That one is so cool!  I also loved the album Now And Zen, which contained his hit "Heaven Knows".  Good stuff!  8)

Of the totally solo albums:

Pictures at 11:  Pleasant surprise!
Principle of Moments:  five out of five stars
Shaken & Stirred:  good, yet predictable follow-up
Now & Zen:  Bob!  Where ya been???  Welcome baaaaaack!
Manic Nirvana:  Wide range.  In great voice!  Five out of five stars!
Fate of Nations:  great album, but with Encomuim, and simultaneous projects w/ Jimmy Page, you could not turn on the radio without hearing Robert Plant in some form or another.  This CD did not have the wide range I was used to.

"Rockin' At Midnight"
"Sea Of Love"
"Little By Little"
"Tall Cool One"

I really like Robert Plant.  The first time I heard his solo music was late one night on the radio in 1981 or '82 during the "King Biscuit Flour Hour" show, which was broadcasting a recorded live concert.  When he played "In The Mood" I was hooked.  I've got all of his CD's and several bootleg tapes and a couple of concert songs on MP3.

Saw him live in December 1988 (the first concert I ever paid to go see) I still have my ticket stub and concert shirt which I wear about twice a year.  :)  Saw him again in '90.

Bought the Knebworth '90 song just for his music and the cameo appearance of Page.  :D  I haven't heard anything from Plant in quite awhile.  I also like "Now And Zen" more than I liked "Manic Nirvana"... it had a more rock sound to it.

Anyone watch (or be lucky enough to attend) the Knebworth 90 concert?  He played a long version of "Tie Dye on the Highway" which I thought really rocked! but it wasn't on the Knebworth 90 cd.  :(

Robert Plant was on (PBS's) Austin City Limits last night... anyone catch the show? He was in great voice.  I thought it was an excellent show.  Check your local listings for encore broadcasts...   8)

The only song I dig from the Tall, Cool One is "Big Log".  Great song!
