Subject: Lyrics Help

Written By: Crash on 10/09/03 at 10:42 a.m.

Afternoon group!

Need a little help from the team. Last weekend we're out at Ruby Tuesday and a song comes over the piped-in radio. Eighties tune for sure, but one that didn't get a whole lot of airplay as I remember. Kinda had a rolling, poppy little beat to it reminiscent of Rick Astley (Brit Pop) with the chorus going a little something like this:

"I'm so in love with you........."

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Well, the Pet Shop Boys had a song called To Face The Truth from Behavior in 1990, here's a portion of the lyrics:

You know it hurts me when you lie
Sometimes it even makes me cry
'Cause I'm so in love with you
If you don't believe what I have said
Take a look, my eyes are red
'Cause I'm so in love with you
But all those sleepless nights in bed
When you've been out somewhere instead
I wonder if you care and cannot bear the proof
It hurts too much to face the truth
To face the truth

And Frankie Goes to Hollywood, the song, The Power of Love:

"I'm so in love with you
Purge the soul
Make love your goal* "

Whimsy,

Thanks for the quick response!  I checked out both of those, and although great songs, they are not what I was thinking of.  The song in question was a much faster beat and more along the 'bubble-gum' genre.  Trying to think of a good comparison.... Men Without Hats comes to mind, but not quite so new wave. Hope that helps a little more.

Thanks!

Now I've resorted to Leo's Lyrics database.  Hopefully this link works... http://www.leoslyrics.com/lyricsearch.php?search=I%27m+so+in+love+with+you&mode=phrase  These are all the songs they have with that phrase, but I'm sure there are more songs out there that they don't list...
