Subject: Does anyone remember the name of this show?

I am trying very hard to remember the name of a show that I used to love when I was growing up. I don't remember the names of any of the stars, or characters for that matter, but I remember loving the show. It was set in medieval times and the main character was a knight. He had a side-kick and there was a princess. On episode I remember they were all trapped in a haunted castle where if they killed anything great evil would befall them. The princess killed a fly. I don't even remember how they got out of that jam. Please, if anyone knows anything about this show, please let me know. Thank you.

Was it Covington Cross? I know it was short lived, a sitcom set in mideval times, and one of the stars was the boy who played Becky's boyfriend Mark on Roseanne.

I don't think that's right. I don't remember "Mark" being on the show. It would've been in the early 80's, like 80-84 maybe.

I don't think so. I think the main character's name was Eric. I think he had blonde hair, too. I have looked everywhere on the web to try to find it, but no luck. It's driving me crazy.

I feel your pain..sounds real familiar to me too. But I think I maybe thinking of Dragon's Lair (which was animated).
Do you remember what the sidekick looked like or what his name was? or the princess's name?
I have a friend that really into medieval stuff, I'll ask her this weekend for you.

I found it! My husband has a book with practically every tv show known to man listed in it. The name of the show was "Wizards and Warriors". The star was Jeff Conway from "Grease" and "Taxi" fame. The princess was Julia Duffy. Thanks for everyone's help.
