That's what I did in the 80's!

You need loads of gel and some crimping irons.
Rough dry your hair and then put some gel at the roots. Hang your head upside down while you dry it with a hair dryer. Then crimp it all over and backcomb it down to the roots. Pull it into shape and use loads of hairspray.

Big Hair, my specialty back in the 80's. ;D You will need a fine toothed comb for teasing, lots of gel and hair spray. A spiral perm would be an added plus since it helps to add volume.

::) ::)I don;t think aqua net is all that bad but i like the scented rather than the uns cented---the unscented actually seems to have a stronger smell.I don't know if this will work if you're a guy,but you might check it out.Jheri Redding spritz works well,too.Cheers!

I always used Rave Extra Hold hairspray. That was great for big bangs and wings on the side. Hold your hair out a few inches, spray and then blow dry Stiff as a board... ;D

Geez...I always used an awesome product: Stiff Stuff to get my bangs and everything else as HIGH as possible .. This shit was hard as rock but worked. Nowawdays...maybe just resort back to Aqua rock ...er I mean Aqua Net... :) Peace love and hairspray

STIFF is the STUFF!!!
I was Mr. Spike, so I used gallons of Stiff Stuff and a teasing comb. Ever get caught in the rain and have that junk run into your eyes?
