Subject: Anyone know this movie?

Unfortunatly, I dont have many details, just that I saw a scene where a little girl was trying to sleep and this old womans head kept floating around her room trying to scare her and talk to her and whenever she screamed her parents would come in and the head would disapaer. Thats all i got..LOL its not much to go on..but its bothered me for YEARS and YEARS.

Are you sure its a movie and not a Tales From the Darkside episode or The Hitchiker ep? Is there anything else you got, maybe another movie one of the actors were in?
