am I like the only kid in the 80's who never saw a Jet's video. I jus found out I Miss You by Klymaxx had a video! Curses to the anti-80's R&B cable station of the 80's san diego!

When I was younger The Jets were my absolute favorite and it wasn't until they were long gone that I finally saw a video for 'Make It Real'. I had no idea they even had videos!! I feel deprived by that for sure! I grew up in Northern Kentucky and can't recall whether or not we had cable. I didn't see the Klymaxx video for 'I Miss You' until a few years ago on VH1 or something. I'd love to see The Jets videos now though! :)

I loved the Jets too.I think I saw "Crush On You" when they were popular.The only way you saw R&B videos back in the day you had to have BET.They do show old school videos from time to time.If I had a station I would play old school videos non-stop.

I recently saw/taped The Jets' "Crush On You" video on BET's music video show "Grown Folks' Music" a few months ago. :)
It airs on Tuesday nights, but it's only for a half hour.
MTV sometimes plays '80's R&B videos on their "Old School Hip Hop" hour.

The Jets were all teenagers when they hit it big, right? DeBarge had some teenage members, too, IIRC. I remember DeBarge ("Who's Johnny") in a McDonald's commercial circa '85.

I believe that was Shalamar. I remember a two-part video. At the beginning of the second part the guy says "The saga continues...," and I'm almost positive it was "Dancing in the Sheets." I believe the video featured martial arts stunts, IIRC.
BTW, I read the lyrics for the '70s song "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas. I'm convinced it really is about what it was rumored to really be about! :o

Wow - and am I the only other 1 who ever mentions a black act besides Michael Jackson on this forum!? (I've griped about this before; it's as if there were no black groups back then. ::) )
