Subject: Does anyone remember these 80's foods

mini-tacos :These were corn chips shaped like little tacos. I'm not sure who made them, but mom always put them in my lunch and they were really fun to stuff with other food.

mr. melons :Made by Fererra Pan (maker of Lemonheads) these were like large green jelly beans flavored like watermelon. They were 25 cents a box and oh so good!!!

just juice :Made by the Wonka Company these were little rolled wafer candies that tasted just like fruit juices. I think they were even made with real juice. Flavors included orange(my favorite), grape and a couple others I've forgotten.

old school Carl's Jr. french fries :Before switching to the bland fries every fast food joint sells, Carls Jr. had the best fries.
They were long crispy crinkle cut fries made with real mashed potatoes. My sister worked there for a few years in the late 80's and said the fries were made in little molds that were injected with the potatoes. How I miss them so!

Rax Restaurnt's Chocolate chip shake :I think they all went out of business years ago but they had the best shakes!!! They were made with vanilla ice cream combined with chocolate Magic Shell that was then whipped in a blender topped with whipped cream and finished off with a sprinkling of mini chocolate chips. Heavenly!!!

I'm sure I'll think of more later, but let me know if you remember any of these awesome culinary classics!!!

Here in New Zealand we have a brand of drink called Just Juice, but I doubt it's the same as the one you're referring to.

One of my favourite 80s foods was a bag of crisps called Chickadees.  They were the best, and I sometimes think they still are.  Sadly, they're not around anymore.  :(

Here in Ohio, there are 3 Rax restaurants left that I know of.  They are independently owned and operated, and they do good business.  And yes, they still have the chocolate chip shakes!   ;D

I think they still have mini-taco shells.

Mr. Melons: I think I remember seeing those in gumball machines.

The Carl's Jrs. fries sound wonderful!  I'd love to have some now!

We have a Rax in London, Kentucky.  It's the only one I've seen in Kentucky.
