Subject: Help, Does anyone Know This TV Show

The show run in the early Eighties on British TV. The show was about a man who lived on a boat in the canals in England.
I can not remember what he did or what the show was about.
He moved every episode to a different town and did something else every episode. Perhaps he was on the run or he was a private dick. i would really aprieciate any info what so ever.

Well Rosie and Jim is a kids programme set on a canal boat but I think that came out later and I guess you'd have remember the rag dolls.
Didn't Boon live on a houseboat? Is that what you're thinking of? It was set in Birmingham and he ran a private detective agency.
Hmm I'll give it some more thought.
