Man o man, I loved these shoes as a kid. Ever since I saw Spicoli from FAst Times wear them, I knew I had to buy a pair! Anyway, has anyone had a pair as a youngster. They came in so different colors and shapes. I had a pair of the classic checkered black and white. Slip Ons of course. 8)

I did! I have the black stone washed, the blue stone washed and the plain white and plain black. I got new ones every Christmas and Birthday. One year I got a new pair with my "Tiffany" t-shirt and new jean jacket! Woo Hoo!

You mean those checked sneakers popularized by Cheap Trick? I never had a pair, but they were big with new wavers and skateboarders for quite a few years. I also associate them with Ska bands. 8)

Oh except I had the ones with shoelaces..I always hated the slip on ones :P
