Subject: Anyone know anything about Iron on's for t-shirts?

Written By: JennParkandKyan on 01/03/04 at 03:48 p.m.

I am trying to make my son who is almost two some cool toddler t-shirts with vintage 80's cartoons on them.  Alvin and the chipmunks, smurfs, etc...
I printed out the Iron on at highest quality on my ink jet and iron it on exactly how it said to.
It looks ok but not great.  It looks as though i washed it 5-6 times and I havent.  Is there anyone who makes t-shirt that knows any tricks to make it look darker or come out better...not so faded?

Also does anyone know places that sell 80's iron on's for cheap?  Ebay has some but for 3-4 dollars or more.

Don't know if this will help or not.  But check the type of transfer paper you are using.  The higher the quality the better the shirt will turn out.  I had the same problem.  I used a cheaper paper and the shirts looked like crap.  I used Hewlett Packard brand and the shirts looked like I bought them from a store.  Also, make sure your printer settings are set for transfer paper.  Hope this helps!

Where did you get the good pictures to print?
I am having an 80's party and would love to do cool prizes!

Just looked around on the internet...type in stuff on your search engine.  I just type in 80's cartoons and tons of websites come up and then I print out the pictures.
