Subject: Barbie computer game
Hey! Does anyone know the name of the 1980's Barbie computer game where Ken calls Barbie for a date, and then you go out to different stores to try on clothes? I played it at Day Camp when I was 7 & 8 years old, and I am now 26. I have looked all over the place for it (flea markets, online), and I haven't been able to find it. Does anyone know where I could get this game? Thanks! ;D

I think this game was just called Barbie. If it was the one released in 1984. Alot of websites look like you can download from the website. I havent tried it though. Websites that are about old Commodore64 games.

I remember getting this game for my daughter. She loved playing it. It was on my old C-64, and she would actually get mad at Ken. "Daddy, this guy is a dork. Why can't he make up his mind?" she would ask me. Ahhh, the cuteness of kids. :)
She then used to go out of her way to dress WRONG for the dates. Things like a bikini for the prom, a formal dress for going skating, things like that.
For those who never saw it, the game starts at like 11am. You get a call from Ken saying what he wants to do, then you have an hour to go and get your hair done, get clothes, things like that. Then an hour later, he would call you and change the date. This would happen 4 or 5 times, then he would come and get you, taking you to where he last said he would take you to. If you took over 2 hours to do the hair-clothes thing, he would leave your ass and take off without you.
Such a great game to give to your daughter! Show her young how flakey and indecisive boys are. :P
