I did!  I was in front of my neighborhood on the main highway in Flagstaff, AZ.
I think I was 10-11 years old.  And I had the "We are the world" record! ;D

I did, I and my friend went to Baltimore and stood there.  But, true to our non-friendly region, ::) no1 actually held hands that I remember - and we were like 5 deep all in the city!  The blue line was thru the city for a while, too.

Funny this is brought up - this is 1 of the huge "movements" that has been virtually forgotten.  Every so often I think of it.  What was the big deal, anyway?   ???

My high school actually made up a bus to take us to Hands Across America  (I lived so far out in the sticks, Hands didn't come there).  I remember we had a lot of fun, but when we actually joined hands, we all sort of looked at each other like - now what?
