Subject: Manglors

Does anyone remember these rubber figures called Manglors? They were made by Ideal. They were made from "the Strangest Stuff on Earth". You can stretch them, squash them, and even pull them apart. They virtually return to normal and their parts stick back together. There was Manglodemon, Manglodragon, and Manglizard. There was also Manglord.

BTW, what does the interjection "cor" derive from?  I've heard "cor blimey!"  The dictionary says "blimey" is a contraction of "God blind me!"  cor = god?

I don't know Maxwell, I just say it. I think it is just an onomatopeic word expressing awe. You are right about 'Blimey'.

I had a friend from the North of England that used to say it a lot and the influence has kind of rubbed off on me. I find it funny when people say 'Cor strike a light'. There are quite a few variations and most of them make me laugh - Still I can get away with saying 'Blimey' on the forums more so than 'Bloody hell'.  ;D
