the name of this toy. these were little dolls that were in paper packets that you put in water and the doll would be revealed. they were flesh colored molded plastic about 2-3" tall, were all different - facial expressions, posed differently. they went for about $2 each and came ou the end of the 80's, early 90's. you never knew what you were going to get until you dipped the packet in water. i need to know what these were called! 8) 8)

Do you mean sea monkeys? I remember seeing them advertised in comic books, along with other weird things.

no...they were little dolls you could hold in your palm, about 3" tall, solid molded plastic. each one was in a different position, facial expression, some had bottles, some had diapers, some had open mouths, but they were just figures - they did not move, they were not edible.  they were the size of something you woudl find in a happy meal. they came in a small box. you opened thebox and inside was a paper packet. you put it in water and it disintigrated and the doll was revealed. my daughteres collected them - there were over 50 different ones......... they came out in maybe 1989-1990>...i just need the name as it is driving us crazy.....

i vaguely remember something like that...now its going to drive me crazy too.  :)
