Subject: Help me identify this show

Written By: SpaceGhoster on 04/02/04 at 10:46 a.m.

Nobody I have ever spoken to has remembered this, so I may have even made it all up. ;)  It was about a family that just happened to be in a pyramid when the planets aligned and were transported to a different world, similar to Earth, but not quite.  I remember snippets of different episodes that may help identify it.  One episode was about hem trying to get home by following abelisk type structures...on the way they came across a beast type thing that actually turned out to be another human that tryed to get home.  In another episode, the son, there was a son and a daughter I think, started playing rock music that was either banned, or never heard of and started an uproar of sorts.  I also recall the inhabitants of the other planet had some sort of life block in a central location, though they all appeared human.  I have tried to find out what this was for years online with no luck.  It was a weekly show, on in the evening, probably in the early to mid 80's.  I seem to remember the name was someting like Other World.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a show I would've watched. I used to watch alot of PBS shows like that and the ones that came on classic Nick.

Rubixgirl,

Thank you, I was really starting to believe I was nuts, and made it all up.  My problem was I didn't combine to make Otherworld one word, hence I no could find.  I'm sure if I watched it now, I would find it incredibly cheesy...as are a lot of "cool" things I remember from way back when.
