Where's Echo Beach?
When "Echo Beach" became an international hit in 1980, people would write in, wondering if the song had been named after the beach of the same name in their part of the world. However, "Echo Beach" was a figment of Mark Gane's imagination. He wasn't aware of a real Echo Beach when he wrote the song in 1978.
