Subject: A Few Questions

Written By: mdwork on 1/9/1999 at 1:54 p.m.

I have a few eighties related questions that not only would I like to have answers to, but maybe will get some conversation going on this board(Cincinnati can't be the only place that has been "crippled" by the ice storms, so some people have to be online).

1. Does anyone know when (or even if) the Michael Hutchence solo album will be released? The only thing I saw was a few months ago a headline on the Sydney Morning Herald site said that it could tied up in litigation for years (could not read the article without subscribing to their service).

2. Does anyone know of any new CD compilations that are out. I have not seen anything new for several months and even they were pretty much a re-hash of whats on other CDs.

3. One last music question (actually two): does anyone know where Springsteen will be playing on the reunion tour and does anyone know if Prince is going to tour (might as well milk 1999 for all its worth).

4. Finally, does anyone have good ideas on where to find vintage clothing from the 80s, specifically something for a Miami Vice costume? I have searched some thrift shops but nothing in those great pastel jackets.

Any answers are greatly appreciated.

As of now, the album is set for a 1999 release, so it is in the works. Martha Troup, INXS personal manager, commented that it would come out this year, after the problems last year with having it released. My friend Neil Kothari has a site set up, called 'An Excess of INXS' which has news the latest news and it is said on there, concerning the solo project: "We have a new solo album for Michael coming out next year, and the new INXS album with new tracks, and maybe then we'll organise a tribute concert. But right now is not the time." There has also been rumors of a movie, which are all FALSE, that were said to re-enact the suicide, and I found that tasteless, but it was reported by the Sleaze, which is untrue. Also in 1999, there will be 2 additional Michael biographies, and a possible documentary. Check out my page for some info on Michael, and for an up-to-date list of news, check out Neil's site at: www.inxsweb.com Thanks for inquiring, Lindsay

'All are different, all are great' Michael Hutchence, 1990
