Subject: who sang- shoulder to cry on?

Written By: david kim on 2/8/1999 at 9:44 p.m.

It's a slow song from about 1991-ish. I guess it's a "New wave" song. Can you tell me who sang it or the title?

The chorus goes something like:

"I will be your shoulder to cry on (I'll be There) I will be your friend to rely on ... .. I'll be there"

It was actually Tommy Page not The Escape Club, but hey BoyofCorn is almost always right and is entitled to a gaffe here and there. Tommy's follow-up hit "I'll Be Your Everything," went to number #1 in the late '80s and was produced by a few of his pals from New Kids on the Block.

The group who sang that song was The Escape Club. They're bigger hit was "Wild, Wild West" which was from the very late 80s.
