Subject: Looking for "Ponderous Man" song

Written By: Dave Kuster on 2/14/1999 at 2:39 p.m.

I'm trying to figure out the artist and real title for a song that might be called Ponderous Man. I can't find anything on it anywhere. It was more just some guy talking than any real singing. He goes on about this dream, where he went in to work and nobody remembered who he was, so he decided to take the day off. Then he meets a girl who can talk with her eyes, and she says, "Can you see...what I'm saying?" I think the "chorus" (remember, he's not singing) said something like, "And then the horns kicked in" (horns), "and my shoes started to squeak" (sound of shoes squeaking).

Thanks in advance!

This question was asked and answered a few months ago in this mesageboard, but I do not know the answer. Ask Chucky if he can search his archives for the answer.

yeah I recognized it as soon as I saw it.. the problem is that it's in the last messageboard software we used to run here, and it doesn't have a search function, combined with the fact that people never use meaningful titles, means I can't find the original thread anymore (ARGH!) the old messageboard is still online at: http://www.worcestermass.com/mboard/80s/list.cgi if anyone remembers when it was asked.. unless it was asked more than three months ago..

come to think of it.. this messageboard doesn't appear to have a search capacity either.. I'll have to look into adding it.. wish I didn't have to keep changing software last year.. at least this one is registered and has support, so I shouldn't have to switch again anytime soon!

actually, I just checked my older archive from the first messageboard, and it was there, complete with lyrics... figures I just, JUST took that archive off line two weeks ago to make way for the Classifieds section (which has yet to even be used.. I gotta spend some time promoting it I guess) oh, this message was for Lindsay originally, whom I guess doesn't visit much anymore, since she should have known this after having asked it >grin come to think of it.. this messageboard doesn't appear to have a search

and I'm mistaken, there is a search function on the main page, I just love this software...
