Subject: 80's TV Show???
Does anyone remember a TV show called "The Golden Monkey"? The show was about a pilot who flew a sea plane somewhere in the south pacific just after WWII. It was only on for a short time. I believe it was on around the same time as BJ and the Bear??? Anyways this pilot wore a "Flying Tigers" jacket and would transport goods between the differnt islands of the south pacific. I know this is going to sound crazy, but I think the cartoon "Tail Spin" was based on the TV show. The show had the pilot, the mechanic, the cute girl, and a crazy bar owner just like the cartoon. Any clues????

The show was "Tales of the Golden Monkey" and starred Stephen Collins. It was on from 81-81. He was in the first Star Trek movie and is currently on TV in the series "7th Heaven".
