Subject: Windows 98 (not '80s related)

Written By: mdwork on 4/6/1999 at 11:00 a.m.

I noticed in the past that people have posted items regarding their computer programs and have seen some great replies. My question is if anyone knows of a glitch in Windows 98 that causes your computer to shut down and reboot when you try to log on to the Internet (through Internet Explorer). This is a constant problem, especially when I am either listening to a CD or have one sitting idle in the CD-Rom drive. Any help would be appreciated.

I've been using Win98 for a few months now with no problems at all. Are you using a legitimate copy or one of the old beta releases?

If the problem persists, I recommend checking out the site below for some answers. This site specializes in dealing with Win95/Win98 problems. I don't know how much help you'll find here. Hope this helps you...

Good luck, NightCrawler
