Subject: 80's magazines, anyone? And Valley Girl on video?

Written By: Katie on 4/23/1999 at 3:37 p.m.

Hey- Does anyone have any 80's magazines? I am sort of collecting them. i'm especially interested in Madamoiselle, Marie Claire, Cosmo, Woman's Day, Teen, Y.M., Seventeen, etc. (or just magazines that truly reflect the 80's.) Also, I just went to the video store lookin for the movie Valley Girl, starring Moon Unit Zappa or whoever, cause I heard it was good, especially in representing the Valley Speak of the 80's. I couldn't find the darn video, so I'm now wondering if it isn't on video after all. Oh, and I have seen the old Bad Seed. I think the newer version is from 85. Is this true?

I recently bought a copy of "Valley Girl" at a local music store (notice I didn't say > store). They had a huge table that had a whole bunch of classic 80s movies on discount. I also bought St. Elmo's Fire, Footloose, Airplane, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, and WarGames. I plan to buy more!!!!
