Subject: Thanks ChuckyG

Written By: Dan Nero on 8/6/1998 at 9:07 a.m.

Hey there,
I felt a certain obligation to give a big word of THANKS to ChuckyG on this incredible site especially this bulletin board. I find myself checking it every couple of hours (at work of course) and I feel relieved that I am not the only person who chooses to live as the 80's was the only decade that mattered.
What else I find amazing is that there are some folks out there who would be expected to be all into the 90's scene and have the good sense to know 80's music was it (yeah Lindsay I am talking bout you. )
Anyway my biggest THANKS to you and if you need help in any way drop me a line, I would be glad to assist if I can.
Dan
BTW (Depeche Mode is still the best the 80's band there ever was.)

I know this is getting repetitive but Thanks ChuckyG.

My wife is completely in the 90's and is ready to toss my butt in the Smithsonian as the last living preppy (G). Needless to say I am happy I am not the only one who loves the Eighties.

Dan: my only disagreement with your comment about Depeche Mode is that there are way too many great 80's bands to pick just one; i.e. tears for fears, joe jackson, waitresses, adam ant, Heaven 17, GoGo's, Killing Joke, Jim Carrol, ah well you get the point.

Take care

Mark

By far DM is one of the foundation bands of the 80's. I remember being hounded by classmates in high school because DM was one of my favorite bands. While they were listening to Motley Crue, Winger, etc., I was listening to DM. Look at which band has survived. Because of people like us, the good bands persevere. Kudos to all those who love 80's music and a special thanks to ChuckyG for such a wonderful site dedicated to a decade of fun!----VasArt 11

I agree with Dan...I find myself checking this board numerous times a day to see if anyone has answered my messages or if anyone has pit up any questions I feel I can answer.
I find lots of people my age or near there also, which makes me feel great to know they haven't
let the 80's die!
As for the Depeche Mode comment, we all have out faves-Depeche is one of them!
Thanks Dan and Chucky G!
