Subject: My other 80's crush

Written By: Lindsay on 8/19/1998 at 1:13 a.m.

I always talk about Boy George and Michael Hutchence, but I forgot to mention another 80's crush of mine who seems to age better over time.
Adam Ant! I love him! I was always into him, and I must say that his 95 album 'Wonderful' was one of his bests, though it didn't get the recogntion it should!

Hey there,
I must say I was a big time Adam Ant (Adam and the Ants) fan. In fact he was my very first concert. I think I was 12 years old and to this day am still in shock that my parents let me go.
It was the Friend or Foe tour.
Just wanted to share.
By the way
Did I tell you your Wonderful! :)

You know, Dan???? Sometimes I think we are separated at birth...
'Did I tell you you're wonderful, I miss you, yes I do'
You have seen all my faves in concert, and what do I have to show for it?
Nada....:)

AHH but you are 19 (I think) and I am 30.
The good thing you have now is that all these big bands that I used to see in arena's I now get to see in small venues and actually meet them now.
We will find one to go.

*sigh* But dontcha think it would've been nice if we would've been able to see them live at first in a huge arena and THEN in the little itty intimate clubs? I mean, over here in San Wasteland, TX, there's nothing BUT larger places to play!!! Okay, so there's a 2,000-seater theater...it's still normally used for the big acts like Danzig (in '94)!!

Um, I feel a SERIOUS whine coming on. :P

You do have a point. There is something about being in an arena with 15,000 people and it was even better if you had a floor seat.
I wish I could send some condolences and say you have some great bands this decade (I do listen to some of them but none have captured me like the 80's bands). Not only that but 90's bands seem to have this attitude of non touchability and that sucks.
I do still love Janet (miss jackson if you're nasty).
I know just made you feel great.
If I ever win the lottery I will have a big 80's bash and you all are invited.
Dan

Okay, so you may be the older one, but I still think we have the same genes or something!
I would give anything to have been to some of these concerts....There is still hope for me to see George though..
Keep those fingers crossed! *HUGS*~*
