Hi- I am doing a projecft on the 80's and I would like to know if anybody can tell me how much it cost for a person to get their jeans ripped in the 80's. My project is due in a few days so if you could write to me as soon as possible i would really apperciate it. Thanx a bunch!

I never heard of anyone paying to have jeans ripped. You either did them yourself, or (as in the late 80s) bought them that way. The bought ones looked really stupid, though, as they all looked the same.

However, the style allowed more use out of one pair of jeans.

I always ripped my own. I didn't like the look of jeans that were pre-ripped. cut them, then wash them 2 or 3 times, and you'd get the little frills and strings everyone liked.
