Ok...the song I am thinking of has a female singer &/or group...??? Something to the effect of....."I'm bringing you forget me nots... so that you can remember..." Late 70's....to mid 80's...somewhere in that time frame. For some reason I am thinking it could possibly be by...Ashford & Simpson, Emotions, Sister Sledge, or a similar group, but can not find any info on them or the song!!!!

The song you are talking about is "Forget Me Nots" by Patrice Rushen (circa 1981/82). You can find it on the Pure Funk Vol I CD. And to show you that I know way too much info for my own the tune was sampled for both "Men in Black" by Will Smith and "Fast Love" By George Michael. The curse of being a DJ..........

The song can also be found on the original compilation "Rock On: 1980". If I remember correctly, it should be the last track on the CD.
