Subject: Keep the 80's alive!

Written By: Mitch on 6/9/2000 at 1:13 p.m.

I'd like to say to everyone out there, THANK YOU! I thought that I was alone in my obsession with the 80's, but to see all the e-mails and web pages dedicated to the 80's, I now know that I am only one of many who love the greatest decade! I'm writing this as I listen to my latest purchase, "Monster 80's". Like most of you, most of my musical purchases over the last 10 years have been 80's compilations or greatest hits. Is it really any question that 90's music just doesn't hold a candle to that from the 80's? I think that time will prove that the 80's was one of the most influential and fondly remembered decades of the century. Who can deny the flood of emotion and memories that come rushing back whenever you hear A-ha, Culture Club, Duran Duran, etc... on the radio? I know that many 80's fans lament the fact that the 80's are over. But I'm here to tell you it's not! The ten years that spanned 1980 - 1989 may have passed, but those ten years were just the planting of the seeds. 80's music, movies, fashion are still here, alive in all of us! It's up to us to keep them alive!I'd love to hear from fellow 80's fans!

Believe me, you are NOT alone! I too am obsessed with the 80s! As far as *I'm* concerned, the whole 70s revival is as dead as the dodo. I am in the process of creating my own webpage dedicated to the 80s, and what we can all do to make an 80s revival happen!

Peace, Laura Palmer

'StarWars77fan' is probably the equivilant of the guy on the simpsons that works in the comic book store.

Of course our opinions will collide you were probably in the 60s more of us probably in the 70s....

so our fond memories are seperated a decade

I don't how anyone can say the 80s were depressing....

but admit too, the mid/late 70s are cool too
