these were actually called McBLTs right? I must have received twenty entries for these on the food page since I last updated that page (I'm processing the entries right now)

and clear colas were from the 90s as well, but I seem to still get several entries for those as well

I can only remember the McDLT's. McDonalds food items can be regional at times so there MAY have been a McBLT somewhere. Sorta like the McRib. Not everyone in the US had it.

I remember when it came out and my mom asked what the "D" stood for and I told her "Donald's" and it has nothing to do with me. The whole thing stood for "McDonald's (the McD) lettuce & tomato." They knew of the BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato) and they thought the "D" stood for something like the "B" in BLT stood for bacon.

Yep, "crazydon" has it right. That's exactly what the letters stood for... :-)
