Subject: Dirty Dancing Location
Does anyone know the location where Dirty Dancing was filmed? The name of the resort in the movie is Kellerman, but it's obviously a fictious name. I am in love with that place and would love to go there someday.

The scene where "Baby" asks her dad for the money for Penny was not filmed on a practice green but on the actual green on #16 at Bald Mountain at Lake Lure Golf Resort in Lake Lure NC. When you are on 16, there is a big sign telling that this is the place of that scene. We were there in February of this year and taped the green and sign. The rest of the movie was filmed elsewhere. Bald Mountain is beautiful as well though.

The resort is in Giles County, Virginia, and is called Mountain Lake Resort.
