Subject: A good 80's station on-line...

Written By: Mindymae on 7/6/2000 at 10:45 a.m.

I listen to a radio station that plays a lot of '80's music. It's www.kkpt.com LOVE IT! It broadcasts out of Little Rock, AR, but you can listen live on the web, which is what I do since I live in Ohio. Just thought I would pass it on.

Hey, since you live in Ohio, I just thought I would pass on the information that in Columbus, there is a radio station totally devoted to the 80s. It is Star 107.9. And online at Star1079.com, you can listen to them all the time! Its great.

Just spent the last five minutes or so listening to Star 107.9, courtesy of your link. The two songs they played while I tuned in: "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Love Shack". Talk about beating a dead horse. Ya-a-awn.

try the link below around 12pm EDT on a weekday.. they should have a pretty decent mix.. not strictly 80s, they stray into early 90s and late 70s.. but don't play too much mainstream.. you won't hear Stars on 45 or Kenny Rogers, but you probably won't hear "Love Shack" either (though they do play "Rock Lobster" from time to time, I'd prefer "Planet Claire" or "Quiche Lorraine")
