Subject: New Crue!

Written By: Lionel on 7/7/2000 at 12:12 a.m.

Hey you 80s metal heads, Motley Crue is releasing a new album on July 11 called "New Tattoo".

I read 3 reviews and two of the reviews commented specifically on how it sounds like the Crue that we grew up with (well, most of us -- sorry Liz! ).

Just thought some of you may want to know, I know I'll probably buy it!

Hey! The Crue's been around in the 90s too, with the exception of Tommy Lee, who's new band is taking off, but I think he should've stayed with the Crue because the "Methods of Mayhem" sux!
I had no idea they were releasing a new album, but if you get a copy, tell me if it's any good pleeeeeeeeeease!!!!

P.S. Speaking of the Crue, I have no clue if this was 90s or 80s, but I heard a Motley Crue song called "Too Young to Fall in Love" What album is that from???

"Too Young to Fall in Love" was off of Shout at the Devil from 1983. This was Crue's 2nd album. It is also the 1st time I ever heard them (us old people remember this album). This guy in my class had a picture of Crue and I was like, who's that. It almost looked like KISS or something.

If you don't know the song "Shout at the Devil" you should check it out. "Looks That Kill" is also off that album and worth a listen.

Go back to their 1st album Too Fast for Love from 81 and check out the title track and "Live Wire". Both good if you like that kind of music. All these songs were Hard Rock/Heavy Metal, pre Theatre of Pain. Just my opinion.

Thanx for the info it's much appreciated!

I went through EVERY Crue album they had at the store looking for it, and the reason I didn't find it is because they didn't have Shout at the Devil. I heard the 97 remake of Shout at the Devil, I've always liked that song. I've heard Looks that Kill, that's an okay song. I have their greatest hits album, and my 2 faves are Wild Side and SOS. Thanx again

You Motley Crue fans would be STOKED to learn of course that Samantha Maloney from Hole is playing drums for them until their new drummer gets out of hospital. Does anyone else see the irony inherent in this?
