Subject: Video Question?

Written By: TX on 7/10/2000 at 12:15 a.m.

Did Human League have 2 videos to "Don't You Want Me?" I seem to remember when the song first came out they had a different video (it was more on the topic of the song, i.e. it had a waitress in a bar.) Unlike the one where they are wearing all that make-up, and no bar.

I'm I a victim of old age or is there two videos?

There must be 2 videos if you remember one with lots of make-up, because the only one I remember is the one which follows the theme of the song. I've always thought it was the only one.

We must ALL be getting old. The only one I remember was the one where they were on a movie set and shooting footage at night. Peace gang!

I think that's the one with all the make-up. It's dark, they are all wearing long coats, when they sing you can see their breath because it is cold, I think I remember a car, a roadblock, and set lights. Phil Oakey was definately wearing a lot of make-up, but then again, he always seemed to (ref video "(Keep Feeling) Fascination"). There is no bar or any waitresses in the video. No buildings at all, just an empty road and maybe some trees.

This is the only video for the song that I ever saw. It would be neat to find a second version.

80, When I said the one with all the make-up that was the one I was talking about.

The other one (if I remember it right) was set up more like the Pretenders "Brass In Pocket" video. Or maybe I'm going nuts.

Was that kind of how you remember it, Wicked Lester.

Yep, that's pretty much the way I remember it. And I do remember the heavy make-up version now as well _ the above description shook loose a few cobwebs _ so there were definately 2 versions.

Now I want to see this "waitress in a cocktail bar" version! All these years, I never knew there was a second video.
