Subject: Nick at Nite and TV Land 80s shows...

Written By: Laura Palmer on 7/17/2000 at 1:13 a.m.

I was flipping channels about an hour ago, and came across this weird show on the TV Land channel called "Together We Stand", starring Elliot Gould. Anyway, it was part of something called a "Sunday SHowcase" where they show "tv shows you thought had vanished forever". Anyway, I had never even seen this how before, and I really liked it. I know that Nick at Nite has also been showing re-runs of long defunct 80s classics (Perfect Strangers and Head of the Class). I tried to access Nick at Nites official site, but it said the website was now defunct! I'm going crazy! I wanted to go on there and see all the defunct 80s shows that they were going to show in next weeks sunday showcase, but now I'm lost! Anyway, I think all of us in the 80s community should petition Nickelodeon to bring back our favorite shows from the 80s. I mean, retire "Mama's Family" finally! That show, along with 1970s nostalgia, has long since worn out it's welcome! Make way for other 80s classics!

I know only this summer Nick At Nite is having their "Block Party Summer". On Fridays they show Party Crashers. A couple weeks ago they showed "Head of the Class" and last week they showed "Perfect Strangers".

I agree with you totally about Mama's Family. Don't get me wrong it was a funny show, but enough is enough!!!! I can practically speak the dialogue with the characters word for word. They need to bring back some cooler 80s reruns.

Why did you say Nick at Nite's web site is defunct? I just went to it and it's fine. You might want to try again.
