I don't know about you guys, but I NEVER listen to music nowadays. I'm sorry to offend anyone, but the music today is just plain crap. I can't handle any Pop, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock. That music to me is garbage. I feel so bad for kids today like myself growing up in a world of bad msuic. I don't know what's going on. Music used to be about something. I know many people may disagree, but I hate music today. I ONLY LISTEN TO THE '80S!!!

I am also quite disgusted with today's music. In fact, I have trouble too calling it music...I call most of it CRAP. I rarely listen to the radio anymore unless it's a classic rock station or a station that plays a lot of 80's. Having graduated from high school in the early 80's, I have to say that I prefer listening to music of that decade and the wonderful diverse music of the 70's as well. :-)

It seems that it's mostly all of the work from the past that is being used and abused. The original artists usually have no say or control over that type of robbery. "As long as the music and/or lyrics are altered to some degree" -
A quote I read on the net in reference to today's artists stealing other people's hard work vs. the original artists who do not approve (of their creations being used by today's artists as backround music and outright re-makes).
Today and for the past decade, the 90's, artists suffer from lack of originality and true creativity. That is my opinion. When I typed "artists", I do not mean to generalize so much. The statements apply to those artists who they apply to, not all artists in general. Peace!

I agree with both of you. Today's music is bogus! A lot of artists rip off the original versions of great songs and mold them into funky dance hits that sound so awful!
Limp Bizkit, Korn, and Kid Rock all sound exactly the same. At least in the 80s, the drug induced rock n' roll was good to listen to! Now all this stuff is whining and screaming into the mike!
All my friends go off on me because I listen to 80s rock instead of N SUCK and the BSB losers.
