Subject: Somewhere in Time
Actually a 70's movie, but the 70's board moves too slowly and I need to let this out of my system. Hope I don't make any enemies, because I know this movie is adored by many. It's a classic to most people.
I just got done watching this movie and I have to say that it is worse than I remembered it. Slow and boring. What started it all? There was a cycle happening, which was evident. But what kind of cycle? Re-encarnation? People are not theorized to be re-encarnated with the same name and identity. No explanations of any kind where given to have this movie make some sense. Lots of lose strings too!
Ok. A vibrant young man with a succesful career in the 70's is approached by an old woman who basically asks him to come back to her. Wow. As the ending of the movie puts it, he had to kill himself in order to join her in a (I suppose) spiritual realm. ? Did I miss something? Did anyone else out there find the movie lacking in entertainment value and were not satisfied with the ending?
