Satish was correct the school was Hill Valley High. The real school used was Whittier High School in Whittier, California.

I think the high school's name was Hill Valley High, the same name as the town. I found this on the Internet at this site-

I remember so many other minor, insignificant details from that movie. The name of the mall was the Lone Pine Mall, and there was a pornographic shop in Hill Valley's centre square called Cupid's Adult Bookstore.

The name of the mall was the Lone Pine Mall. I just read this and thought I would pass it along.

"The mall where Marty McFly meets Dr. Brown for their time travel experiment is called 'Twin Pines Mall'. Dr. Brown comments that old farmer Peabody used to own all of the land, and he grew pines there. When Marty goes back in time, he runs over and knocks down a pine tree on the Peabody's property. When he comes back to the mall at the end of the film, the sign at the mall identifies the mall as 'Lone Pine Mall'."
