Subject: journey's long-awaited album,"Arrival"

Written By: james martin on 8/24/2000 at 12:23 a.m.

good news for all Journey fans, the band's eagerly-awaited album will finally be released on Oct.10. it's called, "Arrival" their first studio album since 1996's excellent album,"Trial By Fire".the singles from that album will be,"Higher Place" & "All the Way". there are 2 changes in the Journey lineup: lead singer Steve Perry and drummer Steve Smith are not in this project. Perry hurt his hip in 1997 and it stopped the band from touring and Smith, i don't have any info on that. Steve Augeri is taking over Perry's place and Deen Castronovo (ex-drummer for Bad English) will be taking over the drums for Smith. Augeri you may remember he sang on the Armeggedon soundtrack with Journey. the song is "Remember Me". the album will be out oct.10. i know their will be a "Behind The Music" somewhere around when the album is release. if want to check info on this or any Journey stuff,go to www.journeytheband.com now,if we can hope for new albums from Foreinger,Heart,Little River Band,REO Speedwagon,Paul Davis,Lionel Richie,Naked Eyes among those artists to put out new albums this fall or early 2001, it'll be like a retro-time warp into the 80's all over again.

Without Steve Perry's voice, it just ain't the real Journey.
