Subject: Mystery Movie

Written By: Sophie on 9/3/2000 at 8:28 p.m.

This has been driving my husband and me nuts for years. What movie is this scene from? -- We believe it is with "George Gaynes" -- (From "Punky Brewster" and "Tootsie")

Anyway, in the scene the main character is being persued -- on foot -- by George. The main character ducks into a store front and George approaches him and says something like "I'm sorry. I thought we had a "moment" back there."

WHAT MOVIE IS THIS FROM -- ?????

Thank you!!!

I believe I have the answer to your question, so you and your husband can rest now. The film in question is 1984's "Moscow on the Hudson" starring Robin Williams, in which he plays a Russian musician who defects while in Bloomingdales. In the scene that you've mentioned. Robin asks of the man who has been pursuing him, "KGB?". The man responds, "No, g-a-y, I thought we had a moment back there".
