Subject: unknown mechanical dinosaur toys

Written By: James on 9/5/2000 at 3:18 p.m.

I am trying to find the name of a series of toys from the early 80s. The heads of the dinosaurs were small cockpits. The drivers were tiny gold men. The larger ones were battery operated and the smaller ones were wind-up. Does anyone have a clue of what these were? Please help!

This description reminds of a line of toys that I think was from Japan originally. I seem to remember that the good guys were all black in color and the bad guys were all red. I remember that one of the good guys was a gorilla named Gore, and one of the bad guys was a dragon like creature named something like The Prince of Darkness.
