Subject: video shows in the 80's

Hello,
Does anyone remember a video show that existed before MTV's 120 minutes? It showed mainly alternative music videos. I'm racking my brain trying to remember if I'm dreaming this up or if it really existed... I believe it did though, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Sounds like the IRS (record Label) show called
The Cutting Edge which had Jools Holland from Squeeze amongst its host. I think that is the label Stewart Copeland founded and the Go-Go's were on. I have a few Cutting Edge shows on tape I believe.
